Commencement Ceremony Friday, May 22, 2026, at 6:30 pm Formation Days These practical sessions are geared to prepare seniors to step into the independence of college life. The dates are:

Friday, May 15 – Full school day, exams for B3, B4 classes Monday, May 18– Full school day, exams for A3, A4 classes Tuesday, May 19– B1, B2 exams and early dismissal Wednesday, May 20– A1, A2 exams and rehearsals after lunch
Josten’s – graduation announcements, caps, gowns, tassels, etc.
September 2 – informational meeting during flex time September 15 – orders during flex time December 12 – deadline to order items for graduation First week of March – orders delivered to campus
All senior families are invited to submit fun pictures of their graduates to be compiled into a slideshow for graduation.
Choose some pictures that show your seniors personality! Please submit the five following pictures. In selecting photos, please be mindful of the Frassati Catholic dress code and provide photos that meet those guidelines. (Please name each file as indicated in parentheses.):

Please note that the freshman, sophomore, and junior pictures do not need to be school photos and can include friends and family members.

General Guidelines Baccalaureate Mass and Commencement are both academic events with a rich history in Western Civilization. They are formal celebratory events which will acknowledge the accomplishments of the Class of 2025. Please keep in mind that these are formal events so that we all have the right mindset as we prepare for these events.
With this in mind, please note the following:
Refrain from screaming or shouting
Noise makers are not permitted
Nothing should be written or taped on caps, gowns, etc.
Rehearsal Preparations
Valedictorian, Salutatorian, and Man/Woman of the Beatitudes speakers must have their speeches printed and prepared to deliver to Dr. L. Medina by May 20th. Speakers will rehearse on May 21st and May 22nd following the Senior exams.
Please try on your gown as soon as possible to be sure that the length and fit are correct. Changes will not be possible on rehearsal day.
Seniors should come to rehearsal with their gowns - with the wrinkles steamed out already.
Seniors should write their name in their cap and gown
Commencement Rehearsal
Commencement practice will take place on Wednesday, May 20 at 12:15 p.m. in the Gym - rehearsal for the Passing of the Light Ceremony is at 1:15 p.m. on the same day
Commencement & Passing of the Light Ceremony practice is mandatory for all seniors.
Baccalaureate Mass Rehearsal
Baccalaureate Mass practice will take place on Wednesday, May 20 at 1:45 p.m. in the Gym.
Baccalaureate Mass practice is only for those seniors with a liturgical role at the Mass; this includes speakers, lectors, Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion, gift bearers, and altar servers.
Dress Code Ladies’ Semi-Formal Attire
Dress Length
Dresses should be knee-length or longer. Hemlines should reach at least to the top of the knee.
A gown may be worn, but is not required; other acceptable semi-formal options for girls are a dress or skirt with a fancy blouse.
Slits in dresses should not extend higher than the top of the kneecap.
Neckline and Bodice
Necklines should be modest and must leave no more than 4-5 inches bare chest between the collarbones at the sternum and the top of the dress; no cleavage may show.
Backs of dresses should fall no lower than 6-8 inches from the nape of the neck.
Strapless dresses, spaghetti straps, off-the-shoulder styles or one shoulder styles are permitted.
Midriff and Cut-Outs
Dresses should not expose the midriff or have cut-outs that reveal the stomach or sides.
Sheer fabrics over these areas are also not permitted.
Fabric and Fit
Dresses should be made of opaque materials; sheer or see-through fabrics are not allowed unless they are used as an overlay with a modest lining underneath.
The fit of the dress should not be excessively tight. Dresses should allow for
comfortable movement and should not cling excessively to the body.
Shoes
Dress heels or dressy flat shoes are required
Athletic shoes and overly casual shoes are not permitted.
Ensure shoes are comfortable and safe for dancing and walking. Shoes must be worn at all times.
Accessories and Additional Attire
Shawls, boleros, or wraps must be worn to the event, and if needed, during the dance, over ladies’ dresses or gowns.
Gentlemen’s Semi-Formal Attire
Suits and Blazers
A suit or a blazer is optional.
Shirts
A dress shirt is required.
Sleeveless shirts are not permitted.
Shirts should be buttoned up and tucked in at all times.
Ties and Bow Ties
A tie or bow tie is required.
Pants
Dress pants are required. Chinos or khakis are also acceptable.
Jeans and shorts are not permitted.
Pants should fit properly and not sag below the waistline.
Shoes
Dress shoes are required. Ensure shoes are polished and in good condition.
Sneakers, sandals, or other casual footwear are not permitted.
Accessories and Grooming
Belts or suspenders are required.
Ear piercings are not permitted.
Accessories must complement the attire and be modest in appearance.
Excessive and/or gaudy accessories are not permitted.
Grooming should be neat and presentable. Please adhere to the Parent and Student Handbook “ Gentlemen's grooming code"
Seating
There are no restrictions on the number of guests for Baccalaureate Mass and no tickets are required.
Free tickets will be required for Commencement to help us prepare for the correct number of guests

Parking
Students should park in the student parking lot.
Parents and guests can park in any lot.
Photography
Professional photographers and videographers will be taking photos and video of both events.
The video and photographs will be available to all families of seniors
Belongings
Do not leave valuables unattended in the Assembly Hall during the Baccalaureate Mass or Commencement. Give your purse and/or other belongings to your parents or lock them in the trunk of your car.
Baccalaureate Mass Specific Information
Doors will open for seating at 8:15 a.m.
Seniors should be in the Assembly Hall by 8:45 a.m. in your gown (caps not needed for the Baccalaureate Mass)
Seniors and their families are invited to a reception immediately following Mass in the Assembly Hall.
Bishop Italo Dell’Oro, C.R.S. will be the Celebrant and Father David Ramirez will be the Homilist for the Baccalaureate Mass.
Commencement Specific Information
Doors will open for seating at 5:15 p.m.
Seniors should be in the Assembly Hall by 6:00 p.m. in cap, gown, and tassel!
Tassel should be on the right side as you process in to the commencement ceremony
During Commencement, the following items are not permitted in the gymnasium: balloons, beach balls, air horns, lasers, large posters or banners, noise makers, weapons of any kind, or anything that would detract from the nature of the formal commencement ceremony
Helpful hints for receiving your diploma
Look at Sr. John Paul directly in the eye when she hands you your diploma
Take the diploma with your left hand; shake her hand with your right hand
Say, "thank you, Sister"
Walk to Mr. Regitz (Board President) and shake his hand and say, "thank you"
After the academic recessional, Seniors will remain in the gym to do the cap toss
